How AI Itineraries Actually Help (And Where They Don't)
August 1, 2026
An AI itinerary is very good at the boring 80%: plausible ordering, realistic travel times between neighbourhoods, a sensible spread of food and sights across a week.
It is much weaker at the things that make a trip yours — the friend's recommendation, the festival that week, the fact that you hate museums. So treat the output as a draft to argue with, and refine the days that matter.
The practical workflow: generate, delete a third of it, and book the two or three things you're actually excited about.
