Packing for Two Climates in One Trip
August 22, 2026
Trips that cross climates are where packing lists fall apart. The fix isn't more clothing, it's clothing that overlaps: one warm layer that works under a rain shell, one pair of shoes that survives both a city and a trail.
Build the list around the coldest morning and the wettest afternoon. Everything else is lighter than that by definition.
If you're generating a packing list, feed it both destinations — the useful output is the intersection, not the union.
